I grew up in the countryside and have always loved spending time in the fresh air, no matter what the weather throws at you - I'd even go so far as to say that the worse it gets, the more alive you feel! - You throw mud, off-road vehicles, dogs, guns, birds, the smell of gunpowder and a camera into the mix, and I'm in my element.
But at the end of the day, it's people that fascinate me. My challenge is not only to create a visual narrative of the day from one peg to the next, but also to create great candid portraits of the people people involved and to show each shoot in a dynamic and authentic way.
During the course of my creative career I have worked in graphic design, website design, 2d animation and fine art, giving me a broad understanding of aesthetics, movement, colour, composition and the creative workflow. I use all of these skills to provide a service of quality, ease of use and value.
I've been a keen photographer all my life, but it was back in 2015 when I decided that I would focus specifically on game shoot photography. What I love about shoot days is that they offer me the opportunity to capture such a broad range of types of photography from portraits to groups, family, friends, kids, pets, kit, action and landscapes. It's got it all.
